It was such a delicious treat to be offered to review naturally flavoured icing sugars and cocoa powders from Sugar and Crumbs.
Family Howe were generously given the following four products from the Sugar and Crumbs range to test and enjoy:
- Peach Melba (icing sugar)
- Turkish Delight (icing sugar)
- Orange Zest (icing sugar)
- Chocolate orange (cocoa powder)
The icing sugars are wonderfully easy to make. Just softened butter, a splash of milk, and the Sugar and Crumbs icing sugar in one of their many delicious flavours. I'm lucky to have a food mixer, so it was simply a case of mixing the butter til smooth, slowly add the icing sugar, then (if needed) a splash of milk to loosen the mix. Easy and so quick!

The sample bags (125g) covered approx 8 cupcakes with a flat layer of icing, or 4 cupcakes with a large swirl of icing.
The Turkish Delight icing
The range of naturally flavoured icing sugars also include the fun Banana Split, the exotic Chili Lime, the refreshing Green Apple, the kid-friendly Strawberry Milkshake, and many more. Over the festive period, they had the seasonal Christmas Punch flavoured icing sugar! The range of cocoa powders include chocolate coconut, chocolate chili, and chocolate lime!

I love the cute pink packaging, but the best bit about the packaging is that it's resealable! This is a great feature, especially on the cocoa powders as I only initially needed 30g for my chocolate orange heart-shaped cakes!

All the flavours were delicious, but my favourite is the orange zest icing sugar. Deliciously zingy! And this flavour would taste fantastic on both vanilla sponge and chocolate sponge!
